An Oscar Schmidt Resonator Electric Guitar. This is a one off prototype of a model that was never put into production. As such, the appointments are top of the line. The neck has four layers of binding and the fretboard inlays are split paralellograms with two different materials. The hardware is gold with a nice patina, and the knobs are mother-of-pearl inlaid. The pickups are two great full-sounding dark mini humbuckers that are wound hotter at the neck than the bridge. The guitar has good acoustic presence as it is fully hollow, but it is not very loud as the body is thin. Includes a tune-o-matic style bridge and Grover-style tuners.

The entire body of the guitar (front and back) is heavily engraved with a landscape scene. The nickel body has patina'd in an very cool way, and we have elected to leave it as it is, but the body could be shined up if the new owner wishes. This guitar also includes a hard shell case that is a tight fit but protects the instrument well.
